MIAMI, FL: According to Sports Illustrated, Jaxon Richardson top 10 schools were revealed Tuesday evening as the 2026 five-star small forward from Miami Columbus High School narrowed his college choices. The highly-rated prospect is ranked as the No. 20 overall player nationally, No. 7 small forward, and No. 4 prospect in Florida according to 247Sports.

Richardson’s final list features a diverse mix of programs spanning multiple conferences. They said they could use my shooting and ability to get out in transition in their system.”

The Trojans’ coaching staff clearly identified Richardson’s versatility and transition abilities as key strengths that would fit their system. His work ethic and improvement trajectory also impressed the USC staff during the visit.

Richardson’s stellar high school career reached new heights during the 2024-2025 season. He helped lead Columbus High to an impressive 30-3 record while capturing the program’s fourth consecutive state championship and first national title. Playing alongside elite teammates Cameron Boozer, Cayden Boozer, Cello Jackson, and Caleb Gaskins, Richardson contributed solid production across all statistical categories.

Over 32 games, Richardson averaged 13.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.3 steals per game. These numbers demonstrate his well-rounded skill set and ability to contribute in multiple areas while playing on a loaded roster.
