Early Frontrunners Emerge After Fall Visits
Notre Dame and Penn State Make Strong Impressions
Penn State and Notre Dame have already hosted Simeon this fall, with both making strong impressions on the New Jersey standout. “Notre Dame is a great school academically,” Simeon told On3’s Chad Simmons. “They are playing their best ball right now and have a chance to have a deep run in the college football playoffs. I liked the atmosphere during my game day visit.” About Penn State, he added: “They have some of the best D-Linemen in the country year after year and it is close to home. I went to the whiteout game this year and it was the greatest game day experience I’ve witnessed.” Both schools align with what Simeon says matters most: “The most important factors to me and my family for deciding on a school are academics, player development, the coaches and program tradition.”
Spring Visits Could Reshape Recruitment Timeline
The upcoming visits represent Simeon’s first time on each campus as an offered recruit, potentially reshaping his leaderboard before he further trims his list of schools. His combination of size, strength, and quickness makes him a versatile defensive line prospect who could excel either as a defensive tackle in a 4-3 scheme or defensive end in a 3-4 alignment at the collegiate level. With Penn State and Notre Dame currently appearing to have an early edge thanks to their proximity to his New Jersey home and strong academic reputations, these spring visits to four additional powerhouse programs suggest Simeon’s recruitment remains wide open, with a decision likely coming in summer or early fall.
