In a dramatic final, Staley High claimed their fifth straight Nelson Division title. The 71-43 win over Rockhurst marked a historic achievement. Staley is the first team to secure a “five-peat” in the tournament’s 44-year history. Avian Webb led the charge with 21 points, earning the Nelson Division’s Most Valuable Player title.
Meanwhile, Battle High celebrated their first championship at the Classic by winning the Holley Division. They secured a 63-49 victory over North Kansas City. Ke’Shun Jackson stood out with 18 points and 10 rebounds, grabbing the MVP honors for his division.

Day Two of the tournament also provided plenty of excitement. Raytown South moved into the Holley Division semifinals after beating Central, 55-43.
