INDIANAPOLIS, IN: The Indiana football recruiting scene is heating up as four-star cornerback Kasmir Hicks from Indianapolis Decatur Central has committed to the Indiana Hoosiers over Cincinnati, Louisville, Missouri, and Vanderbilt, becoming the fourth commitment in Indiana’s developing 2026 class.

According to On3 Industry Rankings, Hicks stands as the No. 1 recruit in Indiana, the No. 26 cornerback nationally, and the No. 273 overall prospect. His decision represents a significant win for head coach Curt Cignetti’s program in the Big Ten.

Hicks has emerged as one of Indiana’s most versatile athletes, excelling as a three-way player during his junior season. He compiled nearly 2,000 all-purpose yards, including 945 receiving yards with 13 touchdowns and 479 rushing yards with 5 scores. His defensive prowess showed with 32 tackles and 5 interceptions, including 2 pick-sixes, while he also returned 2 kickoffs for touchdowns. His 22 total touchdowns helped lead his team to a state championship.
