CORAL GABLES, FLORIDA: Ryan Miret, a three-star interior offensive lineman, has scheduled multiple spring visits as his recruitment intensifies. The 6-foot-4, 290-pound standout from Miami Southridge High School has emerged as a priority target for several programs, including the hometown Miami Hurricanes.
Miret the #49 IOL according to 247Sports currently holds 21 offers and has narrowed his focus to schools showing significant interest, including Miami, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Memphis, NC State, UCF, Virginia Tech, Air Force, and Tulane. With a decision timeline approaching, these spring visits will prove crucial in shaping his college football future.
RECRUITMENT UPDATE
Miret’s recruitment has accelerated following a strong junior season, with multiple programs competing for his commitment. The Miami Hurricanes have positioned themselves as a frontrunner due to proximity and established relationships. Meanwhile, the Nebraska Cornhuskers and Ole Miss Rebels have emerged as serious contenders.
“Miami is definitely one of my top choices at the moment, but I continue to be open to all of my options,” Miret told On3. “I would like to see everything, or as much as I can, before making my decision.”
His spring visit schedule includes Miami (March 18), Memphis (March 21), Ole Miss (March 22), and Nebraska (March 26). Additionally, he has confirmed an official visit to Miami on June 20 and plans to set more officials by late April.
PLAYER PROFILE
Miret brings impressive technical skills and physical attributes to the interior offensive line position. His 6-foot-4, 290-pound frame combines with exceptional footwork and leverage techniques, making him a versatile prospect capable of playing both guard positions. His hand placement and ability to drive defenders in the run game stand out on film.
Regional scouts have praised Miret’s football IQ and finishing ability. “He consistently shows the awareness to pick up stunts and blitzes while maintaining the strength to anchor against powerful defensive tackles,” noted one Southeast recruiting analyst. “His mean streak in the trenches and ability to reach the second level effectively translate well to high-level college football.”
During his junior season, Miret helped lead Miami Southridge’s offensive line unit that averaged over 175 rushing yards per game while allowing minimal interior pressure.
SCHOOL FIT / COMPETITION
The hometown Miami Hurricanes offer Miret the unique opportunity to play for his local ACC program. Offensive line coach Alex Mirabal’s development track record provides additional appeal.
“Miami is intriguing because it’s home,” Miret explained. “Their coaching staff knows me very well and we have built a great relationship. Coach Alex Mirabal is a great coach. Being able to stay home and play for the team that everyone I know loves would be really cool.”
The Nebraska Cornhuskers present a compelling Big Ten option with offensive line coach Donovan Raiola’s expertise and a personal connection to assistant Phil Simpson, whom Miret has known since childhood. Meanwhile, Ole Miss offers the allure of SEC competition and another hometown connection through running backs coach Kevin Smith, a Miami Southridge alumnus.
FUTURE TIMELINE
Miret plans to announce his commitment by the end of spring after completing his scheduled visits. His decision will hinge on development opportunities, coaching relationships, facilities, and educational prospects.
“These visits are very important for me to get to know Oxford, to get to know Lincoln and to get to know the coaches and players,” Miret emphasized. “I want to see what kind of culture they have at these schools on a firsthand basis.”
