5-Star WR Cederian Morgan Schedules Official Visit to Colorado

The recruitment of Cederian Morgan took a significant step forward today. The five-star wide receiver from Alexander City, Alabama announced an official visit to the Colorado Buffaloes. At 6-foot-4 and 210 pounds, the Benjamin Russell High School standout has become one of the most sought-after prospects in the 2026 recruiting cycle.

According to the latest rankings, Morgan ranks as the No. 17 overall prospect per On3’s Industry Ranking. Additionally, he stands as the No. 3 wide receiver nationally and the No. 2 recruit in Alabama.

The update follows Morgan’s impressive junior season performance. During this time, he hauled in 70 passes for 1,162 yards and 14 touchdowns. As a result, his recruitment has attracted attention from premier programs across multiple conferences.

First, the Colorado Buffaloes visit is scheduled for May 9-11. Subsequently, he’ll visit the Georgia Bulldogs (May 16-18) and Clemson Tigers (May 30-June 1). After that, he’ll tour the Florida Gators (June 6-8), Auburn Tigers (June 13-15), and finally the Alabama Crimson Tide (June 19-22).

“I don’t care if I stay in state or go out of state. I am going to take my time, sort things out and see where I need to be,” Morgan told On3’s Chad Simmons last fall. “Communication is really big for me. Moreover, playing for coaches that can help me get to the next level is big too.”

Morgan’s game stands out primarily for his exceptional size and reliable hands. Furthermore, his big-play ability sets him apart from peers. On the field, he consistently showcases advanced route-running skills that translate to steady production. Consequently, his physical tools have attracted attention from top programs nationwide.

Key Measurables:

  • Height: 6’4″
  • Weight: 210 lbs
  • Junior Stats: 70 catches, 1,162 yards, 14 TDs
  • Track Achievement: 6’4″ high jump (sophomore year)

Under Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders, Colorado‘s interest in Morgan aligns with their emphasis on explosive playmakers. In fact, the Buffaloes have made recruiting elite talent a priority. This approach follows their success with Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter and quarterback Shedeur Sanders.

Among his top choices, in-state programs Alabama and Auburn have been considered frontrunners. Indeed, Auburn recruiting insider Cole Pinkston logged a prediction favoring the Tigers last August. However, Colorado‘s emergence as a destination for elite recruits now offers a compelling alternative.

The Buffaloes’ wide-open passing attack obviously presents an attractive opportunity for elite receivers. Ultimately, Sanders’ NFL pedigree and media presence create unique visibility for his players.

Looking ahead, Morgan will complete his official visit circuit before making a decision. Meanwhile, his talent profile resembles prospects we highlighted in 2025 College Football Top 7 Wide Receivers Ready to Dominate.
